Simhachalam: About 20 km from The Park, The Simhachalam temple is the most famous, the richest, the best sculptured shrine in the district. The picturesque temple is situated on a hill 800 ft. above sea level in the hill range of Eastern Ghats and a distance of 6 kms from Simhachalam Railway Station. Private buses ply regularly from Visakhapatnam to Simhachalam. The inscriptions of the temple (about 525 in all) are valueable for the study of history and culture of the region.
Dolphin Nose: The most conspicuous and unforgettable landmark in Visakhapatnam is about 25 Kms away from The Park. A single, massive 358 mts. Rock breaks the coastline and again juts into the sea resembling a dolphin. It is a permanent feature of the city's silhoutte!
Ramakrishna Beach: Two km from the Park, this popular beach gets its name from a temple of Lord Ramakrishna. It's unique the first time you arrive here. In order to reach this one has to descend sharply down the road and from the elevation it appears as if the sea is reaching up into the sky! It's indescribable and awesome.
Indira Gandhi Zoological Park: This is the second Zoological Park in the State after the one in Hyderabad. This zoo is the largest in terms of area with an encompassing area of 450 acres full of exotic species of animals and birds amidst rolling landscapes of natural habitat. Half of this wilderness has been allotted for the deer park. The other 300 types of specimens are allowed to roam freely in huge enclosures. There is a separate enclosure called the crocodile park.
Mount Kailash: Mount Kailash is a charming hillock of 304 mts. height on the sea front.
The enchanting panoramic sea view from this picturesque hill makes Kailasagiri one of the outstanding tourist spots in Visakhapatnam. The hill park, which covers 350 acres of land, is an exciting landscape hill-top garden . Situated at an altitude of 360 ft. the park gives fascinating views of sun kissed beaches on one side and the lush green forests on the other side beside the panoramic view of the bustling metropolis of Visakhapatnam.

Borra Caves:These natural formations in the Eastern Ghats are situated in Anantagiri mandal at a distance of 100 kms form Vizag. The caves have geological and historical importance. Deep in the caves there is a Shivalingam over which water drops from above, which is said to be the origin of the river Gosthani. The river flowing from these caves with natural rearing sounds is a beautiful sight to enjoy.
Araku Valley: About 120 kms from vizag this beautiful valley lies in the Eastern Ghats. Inhabited by hill tribes, the valleys are famous for Dimsa dance which is a unique feature of culture and life of the tribals. The journey to Araku Valley on the ghat road, with thick forests on the either side, is itself captivating and awe inspiring. The horticulture nurser-cum-training centre at Padampuram and Government Silk farm with mulberry gardens are live examples to better the socio-economic conditions of the tribes. "
