Overview and Programme Details

The Park Hotels Operational Training Programme is a comprehensive one-year training programme designed to develop fresh hotel management graduates into promising hoteliers of the future. During the one-year programme, which is monitored by the training department of the respective units, the Operational Trainees are invested with technical and behavioural inputs pertaining to their job and social needs.

Depending on unit requirements, Operational Trainees are recruited every year in the following categories:

• General Operational Trainees
• Kitchen Operational Trainees

General Operational Trainees are recruited for the following departmental postings:

• Front Office
• F&B Service
• Housekeeping
• Human Resource
• Kitchen Stewarding
• Sales and Marketing

Final Selection

The final selection procedure essentially is a 3-day process

Operational Training Programme

The Operational Trainee Program commences with a two-day Orientation session followed by:

3 Months On the Job Training (OJT)

9 Months Departmental Specialisation

Confirmation

Upon completion of the 1-year programme, Operational Trainees are confirmed at various Supervisory levels:

• Captain in Food and Beverage Service
• Housekeeping Supervisor in Housekeeping
• Production Supervisor in Food Production
• Training Officer in Training / HR
• Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor in Kitchen Stewarding

Posting

Upon successful completion of the 12 months training programme and qualifying in their hotel management examinations the Operational trainees may be posted to any of the company's units in India as a supervisor in the grade applicable to that unit.
